We partner with schools, school systems, and state education agencies to help understand the extent to which students have equitable access to the key resources - grade-appropriate assignments, strong instruction, deep engagement, and high expectations - and conditions - belonging, consistency, and coherence - that we've identified through our research in The Opportunity Myth and The Opportunity Makers.
Third graders work independently in Literacy class at J.M. Ullom Elementary in Las Vegas. The school is a teaching site for members of the Nevada Teacher Corps.
We believe that all students deserve the opportunity to achieve the goals they set for themselves. The data we collect through the diagnostic will help inform improvement for all students’ experiences, especially those who have been systematically and historically marginalized and underserved by our school systems.
